God Is Worthy of All Praise

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name
for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you and extol your name
for ever and ever.
Great is the LORD
and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
Psalm 145:1–4

Every great relationship takes commitment, and it’s the same in your relationship with God. The psalmist writes exuberantly that he will choose to exalt God and praise His name every day. God is so great and so matchless in His worth that He is worthy of all your praise.

As you consistently turn your panic into praise, you will change. Anxiety will melt in His presence and fear will dissipate. You will become the calm, steady person described in Jeremiah 17:7–8: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Friend, only He can establish that kind of calm in your life. As you faithfully worship Him, you will become more like Him.

“God is so great and so matchless in His worth that He is worthy of all your praise.”

He is the Alpha and the Omega and your Bread of Life.

He’s your Creator and Deliverer who is eternally loving and faithful.

He is completely good and categorically holy. He is infinitely wise and just in all His ways. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

He is mighty enough to save you and tender enough to hear the faintest whisper of your heart.

He is opulent in His splendor and powerful in His glory.

He quiets you with His love and declares you righteous with His blood.

He saves you from your sin and shepherds you when you wander.

He is absolute Truth while being completely understanding.

He is Victory over sin, hell, and the grave.

He is the Wonderful Counselor and almighty God. He is the Matchless Exalted One who yields His glory to no other.

He is the One with the name that is above every name. And He is the only One worthy of all your praise!
