Our God is a God who keeps His promises…and He makes a lot of them! God cares a lot about oaths and promises because He understand the power of a promise, and He is the sustainer of all that is or can be. Naturally, then, God’s Word has a lot to say about promises. Old Testament

Genesis 9:11
I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.

Genesis 9:13
I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Numbers 23:19
God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.

Numbers 30:1–2
