A lot of people misunderstand the Bible to be a giant book of rules that God has given us to either keep us from having fun, keep us in line, or some combination of the two. The Bible contains some rules and guidelines for how to live life best, to be sure. But the Bible is full of so much more than commandments. The Bible has encouragement for our sad hearts and suffering souls. Let’s look at how the Bible can encourage us.
