23 Bible Verses on Rebirth

Becoming a Christian requires a complete recreation of yourself. The old self no longer exists, but a new person has been remade and united to Christ. In Galatians Paul says that he has been crucified with Christ and that the life he now lives is by faith in Christ (2:21). Being born again is what begins the Christian life, it indicates the start of laying down your old self and beginning your new walk with Jesus. What Does the Bible Say About Rebirth?

John 1:12–13
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:3–8
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Romans 8:16–17
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Romans 9:8
