In the Bible, the Messiah is an anointed deliverer from the line of David that saves his people from death and sin. The entire Old Testament looks forward to the arrival of this Messiah; prophets predicted his roles and people like Noah, Moses, Solomon, and Esther foreshadowed his role as a Savior. When Jesus came, he declared that he is the Messiah and fulfilled every prophecy; His life, death, resurrection and ascension provided a way for us to be adopted, redeemed, and saved from our sins. Old Testament

Genesis 3:15
“I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”

2 Samuel 7:12–13
When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Psalm 2:7–9, 12
I will tell of the decree:
The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
